History

Charys Holding Company was founded in February 2004 to follow a strategy to become a significant business focused on providing high value services in the infrastructure services market. Charys became a publicly traded company in June 2004. Charys' initial business strategy focused on acquiring companies that served the wireless and wire-line telecommunications infrastructure sector. With expanded restoration services following the devastation caused by hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma, the company identified a market need that would be filled by building on the profitable core business providing infrastructure services. Charys expanded to acquire key organizations that provide complete disaster restoration and reconstruction services.

Charys now has the core competencies, equipment and professional resources that are of significant scale, rapidly deployable and able to provide end-to-end support in response to catastrophic events, whether environmental or from other causes. Requirements from key Charys customers, Homeland Security and Sarbanes Oxley legislation have created additional imperatives and the opportunity to ensure all mission-critical data and infrastructure will carry on after a major event.

Having successfully achieved our initial acquisition goals, Charys has integrated its efficiencies of scope and scale to leverage the complementary telecommunications and disaster restoration business units into a unique customer-centric firm. Charys has built a group of companies that are profitable and cash flow positive in their day-to-day operations and, upon the occurrence of a disaster the company can leverage its complementary infrastructure services to serve clients in disasters and significantly drive growth and increase shareholder value.
