Charys' Telecom Infrastructure Subsidiaries Announce Strong Business Volume Increase with New Contracts
Division Prepared for Forecasted Busy Hurricane Season
ATLANTA--May 4, 2007--Charys Holding Company, Inc. ("Charys"), a provider of wireless communications, data infrastructure and restoration and reconstruction services, announced today that its telecommunications infrastructure business units have entered into new business agreements that are expected to generate over $11 million in revenue.
The new business is attributed to strong demand for the range of telecommunications technology supported by Charys subsidiaries. Louisiana based Complete Tower Sources, Inc. ("CTSI") has been awarded new business agreements for build-to-suit tower construction with an estimated revenue value of $3 million, as well as orders for site expansion of existing locations estimated at an additional $3.5 million. CTSI, along with other Charys subsidiaries, Aeon Technologies and CCI, have received orders for data services technology upgrades for wireless service providers totaling approximately $5 million. Contracts include upgrade of wireless technology ("UMTS") driven by strong customer demand for data services through wireless service providers, and the construction of new and expanded switching sites for core network technology. Engineering service agreements, with an expected value of $1 million, have been received for testing and analysis of radio systems for a project that will cover approximately 350 tower sites.
Commenting on this new business, Charys CEO Billy V. Ray, Jr. stated, "The strong demand for our telecommunications infrastructure and support services is a great endorsement of the reputation for quality and responsiveness that our subsidiaries have with their clients, representing the largest service providers in the country. The synergies and teaming across our subsidiaries hits a bulls-eye on the value proposition that our customers want. We are very pleased with the teams' success with new business opportunities and the progress made bringing more value to our customers."
