Charys' Cotton Companies Announce New Jobs as it Expands Across the Pacific into Hawaii

ATLANTA--August 6, 2007--Charys Holding Company, Inc. ("Charys") (OTC Bulletin Board: CHYS - News) a company focused on the high growth Restoration and Reconstruction and Wireless Communications and Data Infrastructure sectors, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Cotton Companies ("Cotton") has been awarded several restoration and reconstruction jobs as well as a fire restoration contract in Hawaii.

Cotton, mobilized through an insurance claim program, deployed personnel from Dallas, Phoenix, and Orlando in response to a significant fire at a manufacturing plant in Honolulu. The job, estimated to take 20 days to complete, will entail smoke deodorization, structure and content cleaning and decontamination, debris removal and air quality monitoring. Cotton shipped all consumables and cleaning supplies to the job site from their Logistics Center in Dallas.

"This contract marks the first time Cotton has performed work on the Hawaiian Islands. Our logistics operation was able to quickly dispatch personnel and secure equipment for our customer in Hawaii, thus insuring appropriate and immediate attention was given to evaluate the damage and begin restoration," commented Pete Bell, Cotton CEO.

In addition to the Hawaii contract, Cotton is also completing fire restoration services at a manufacturing plant in North Carolina, remediation and reconstruction for a retail member of its Preferred Client Program in Kansas, and a construction contract for several multi-family residential units in Austin, Texas. Cotton has also been awarded reconstruction contracts for a Houston school and an Austin hotel, as a follow up to restoration services Cotton provided in July.

Billy V. Ray, Jr., Charys Chairman and CEO, noted, "Customers awarding reconstruction work after Cotton successfully completes restoration projects is an endorsement of Cotton's value in providing end-to-end service, with a recognition of its high standards for customer satisfaction and quality service."
